The Qatari national team drew with the Emirati team, each scoring one goal, in a match held at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah. This encounter marked the conclusion of Group B in the 27th edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup.
This match determined the top position in the group after both teams had already secured their spots in the semi-finals. With this draw, both teams finished with seven points. However, the UAE team topped the group due to a superior goal difference.
As a result of this outcome, the Emirati team will face the Omani team, who finished second in Group A, in the first semi-final on Saturday at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium. Meanwhile, the Qatari team, finishing second in Group B, will compete against the Saudi team, the Group A champions, in the second semi-final at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium on the same day.
