Bahrain opened the scoring early in the match, with Ali Al-Dosari finding the net in the sixth minute. However, the national team responded strongly, scoring five consecutive goals. Nasser Mahmoud equalized in the eighteenth minute, followed by Abdul-Wasee Al-Matari, who netted the second goal in the thirty-first minute. Rami Al-Wasmani added the third goal in the fortieth minute, and Adel Abbas Qassem strengthened the lead with a fourth goal in the forty-fourth minute. The first half concluded with Yemen leading four to one.
