The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center has issued an important weather update for Wednesday. The forecast predicts that coastal areas and their surroundings will experience partly cloudy to clear skies, with daytime temperatures ranging from hot to very hot. Nighttime temperatures are expected to be moderate. Scattered rain, occasionally accompanied by thunderstorms, is particularly likely in the southern and western coastal regions, as well as Socotra Island. Wind conditions will remain light to moderate, but may intensify during thunderstorms.
The daily weather report, as received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), indicates that mountainous areas will experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions. Scattered rain, along with occasional thunderstorms, is anticipated in the northwestern highlands, which stretch from Saada Province in the north to the highlands and plateaus of Lahij Province in the south. This weather pattern will also extend eastward to parts of Abyan, Shabwa, and Hadramaut. Meanwhile, desert and plateau regions can expect clear skies with very hot to extremely hot daytime temperatures and moderate nighttime temperatures. Winds are projected to be moderate to active, potentially stirring up dust and sand.
The following are the expected maximum and minimum temperatures for various regions on Wednesday:
The Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center urges citizens, particularly vehicle drivers in areas expecting rainfall, to avoid riverbeds and valleys. Additionally, residents in desert and coastal regions are advised to take necessary precautions against the forecasted hot to extremely hot weather conditions.
In its daily marine report, the center predicts calm sea conditions along the coasts of Hadramaut, Shabwa, Abyan, Aden, Bab al-Mandab, and the western coasts. However, conditions may be moderate along the coasts of Al-Mahra and could become rough around Socotra Island. The regional waters in the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea are expected to experience light waves, while the Arabian Sea may see moderate to rough conditions. Fishermen and sea-goers in the vicinity of Socotra Island, the Arabian Sea, and eastern coasts are advised to exercise caution due to potential sea disturbances and high waves.
