Weather Forecast: Rain Expected in Socotra Archipelago

The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center reports potential scattered rain today, Friday, across parts of the Socotra Archipelago. Additionally, the internal plateaus and desert areas will have mild daytime temperatures, dropping to relatively cold at night.

Coastal Weather Conditions

According to the daily weather bulletin received by the Yemen News Agency (Saba), coastal areas will see partly cloudy skies with moderate temperatures. There is a possibility of scattered rain on parts of the Socotra coast. Winds will be moderate along the southern coasts, while the southwestern coasts may experience stronger winds reaching up to 25 knots, stirring up dust and sand.

The center anticipates clear and cold to extremely cold weather in the mountainous regions during the night and early morning, particularly in the western highlands. The internal plateaus will experience relatively cold temperatures. Fog formation is also possible. Desert areas will enjoy clear skies with moderate daytime temperatures, while nights will be relatively cold. Winds will remain moderate, contributing to dust and sand disturbances.
