ADEN, Yemen – Today, Justice Minister Judge Badr Abdu Al-Aradah chaired a significant meeting in the temporary capital of Aden. The gathering focused on the legal team tasked with reviewing and updating legislation related to the judiciary.
During the meeting, which included Deputy Justice Minister and head of the legal team, Dr. Saad Mohammed, participants discussed the first phase of the legislative update plan. This phase encompasses a comprehensive review of several key laws, including civil procedures, evidence, criminal procedures, and penal codes.
The meeting approved several organizational measures aimed at enhancing the team’s efficiency. Notably, the team will divide into specialized working groups based on the nature of each law. This strategic division aims to improve the quality and effectiveness of legal outputs.
Additionally, the meeting addressed proposed work mechanisms and approved technical models. Team members shared their insights and feedback regarding their responsibilities, fostering a collaborative environment.
In his remarks, Minister Al-Aradah emphasized the project’s significance in modernizing the legislative environment. He highlighted the need for these updates to align with evolving legal standards, thereby enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the judicial system.
