In a significant meeting held today in Aden, Yemen’s temporary capital, under the chairmanship of Dr. Mohammed Shabibah, the Minister of Endowments and Guidance, officials discussed the department’s progress over the past year, focusing on 2024’s achievements and future plans.
Sheikh Hassan Al-Sheikh, the Deputy Minister for the Quran Memorization Sector, presented a brief report on the sector’s activities and international participations. He highlighted the budgeting aspects, the challenges faced by the “Read and Recite” competition, and outlined a future vision for its development.
Dr. Wadah Al-Shubhi, the Deputy Minister for the Endowments Sector, reviewed issues related to endowments, including the mechanisms for controlling endowment properties and the activities and follow-ups conducted by the sector’s offices across the liberated provinces.
Furthermore, Dr. Abdul Nasser Al-Khatri, the Deputy Minister for the Guidance Sector, discussed the idea of establishing a Fatwa and Research Committee and reviewed a draft regulation for the committee. He emphasized the committee’s importance in enhancing and rationalizing religious fatwas and research.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Ahmadi, the Deputy Minister for the Investment Sector, shared a report on investment activities and the strategies for activating them in coordination with other ministry sectors.
Munir Dabwan, the Assistant Deputy Minister for the Hajj and Umrah Sector, shared the outcomes of the first preparatory meeting with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for the 1446H season. He stressed the importance of continuous coordination with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to ensure the season’s success.
Minister Shabibah emphasized the importance of these meetings in fostering cooperation and coordination among the ministry’s different sectors to achieve desired goals. He affirmed the ministry’s commitment to continue its efforts towards developing its operations and realizing its future vision.
He also highlighted the necessity of keeping the ministry away from any political disputes or conflicts, ensuring it remains a professional and responsible entity that contributes to societal peace, national cohesion, and supports the state’s general directions. Minister Shabibah expressed his appreciation for the leadership and staff’s efforts in serving their country and enhancing government work, setting an example in administrative discipline, integrity, and transparency.
This meeting underscores the Yemeni Ministry of Endowments and Guidance’s dedication to improving religious and community services, emphasizing the importance of strategic planning, cooperation, and professionalism in achieving its objectives.
