Yemen’s Local Administration Minister Discusses Sustainable Solutions for Displaced Persons with UNDP Coordinator

In a significant meeting held in Aden, Yemen’s temporary capital, Local Administration Minister Hussein Al-Aghbari and the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) Coordinator for Sustainable Solutions for Displaced Persons, Nasser Al-Hayid, deliberated on the coordination mechanism and joint cooperation with related entities and institutions. The focus was on localizing humanitarian work and implementing projects and programs that support development efforts in the liberated provinces.

Emphasizing Collaborative Efforts

Minister Al-Aghbari stressed the importance of intensifying efforts and establishing joint plans and coordination between the government and its partners, including organizations. The aim is to scrutinize the nature and quality of humanitarian and developmental services and projects required in several provinces experiencing displacement waves. Such initiatives are crucial for providing the basic needs of citizens in these provinces.

On his part, Nasser Al-Hayid outlined the interventions and projects undertaken by the UNDP to improve services for displaced persons and rehabilitate their conditions in their areas of residence, meeting their basic needs.
