Leadership Council President welcomes youth football and volleyball teams, highlighting their achievements.

President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, warmly received the youth football and volleyball teams at the Presidential Palace in Mukalla City on Thursday. These teams are gearing up to compete in the West Asia championships for both sports, hosted by the Kingdom of Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.

The meeting, attended by Hadhramaut Governor Mabkhout bin Madi and the heads of the first division clubs in the province, saw President Al-Alimi, on behalf of himself, his fellow council members, and the government, renewing congratulations to the youth football team for their impressive victories and performances in recent sporting events, despite the challenging circumstances of the war ignited by the Houthi militias, backed by the Iranian regime.

President Al-Alimi praised the technical teams of the national squads and the support provided by relevant entities to achieve further youth accomplishments. He highlighted the contributions of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Football Association, and the local authority leadership in Hadhramaut province, which hosts numerous sports and youth camps. He also extended his gratitude and appreciation to the citizens and youth of the province for their generosity.

“It is a pleasure to meet you today in Mukalla City, a hub for youth activities from across the nation,” said the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, expressing pride and hope in the promising football achievements that have united the hearts of Yemenis.

He remarked on the fortunate timing of their meeting in Hadhramaut, “a safe haven and a cradle of history and wisdom,” emphasizing the importance of unity, focusing on public benefit, and preserving the rights of future generations.

The President expressed his great confidence in the promising abilities of Yemeni youth everywhere to achieve more successes and to create the desired transformation for their country and nation. He voiced his belief that Yemen, with the efforts of its sons and daughters, will become more stable and overcome the crisis created by the terrorist militias supported by the Iranian regime, which has wasted years and decades of the lives of young people deserving of better conditions and a brighter future.

The meeting was also attended by General Saleh Al-Maqaleh, the Director of the Office of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council.
