A devastating incident in Al-Zaydiah district of Al-Hudaydah Governorate has resulted in the deaths of four family members due to a landmine explosion. The explosion occurred when a family member unknowingly brought the explosive device home, as reported by the Zaraniq Media Center.
The individual involved, who suffers from mental health issues, collected plastic bottles and scrap metal for a living. While scavenging, he discovered an object that he suspected was a landmine. Believing it contained valuable metals, he transported it to his home. Tragically, while attempting to dismantle the object indoors, the landmine detonated, leading to the fatalities of four family members. Their bodies were subsequently taken to Al-Thawra General Hospital in Al-Hudaydah city.
