Gold prices fell on Friday due to ongoing pressures in the global market. The spot price of gold decreased by 0.4%, reaching $4,030.09 per ounce. This decline marks a loss of over $130 compared to the peak recorded just two days ago.
U.S. gold futures for August delivery also experienced a drop of 0.4%, settling at $4,033.20. These declines occur amidst significant volatility in global financial markets, affecting investor sentiment.
In addition to gold, other precious metals have also seen price reductions. Silver prices fell by 0.7% in spot trading, reaching $57.29 per ounce. Meanwhile, platinum dropped by 1.3% to $1,579.49, and palladium decreased by 1.5% to $1,237.50.
The decline in gold and other precious metal prices reflects the fluctuations in global markets. Prices are influenced by movements in the U.S. dollar and bond yields, as well as investor expectations regarding upcoming monetary policies. Consequently, market participants remain vigilant, closely monitoring these developments.
