Five Palestinians lost their lives, and several others sustained injuries, including women and children, during Israeli airstrikes targeting various areas in Khan Younis and Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
Palestinian medical sources reported that four individuals died when Israeli forces struck a vehicle in Rafah. Additionally, one Palestinian was killed, and others were injured in separate airstrikes on Khan Younis. These attacks coincided with heavy artillery shelling that affected northern regions of the Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
In a related incident, a Palestinian prisoner from the town of Dura in Hebron, located in the West Bank, died today in Israeli detention. Reports indicate that the death resulted from torture and medical neglect.
The Palestinian Authority’s Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs reported that the number of identified martyrs in Israeli prisons has risen to 55 since the onset of the Israeli offensive on Gaza. Furthermore, the total number of Palestinian prisoners who have died since 1967 now stands at 292.
This ongoing violence continues to escalate tensions in the region, drawing international attention and concern.
