Preparations for Clubs in Hadramout Discussed in Meeting

A meeting held today in Sayoun, Hadramout, focused on the ongoing preparations by local football clubs and their leaders. The session, chaired by the Deputy Governor for Valley and Desert Affairs, Amer Al-Amri, highlighted the clubs’ determination to advance to higher competitive levels.

Local Authorities Support Sports Development

The meeting included key figures such as Deputy Governor Salem Bin Sharman, Director of Youth and Sports Dr. Majdi Bin Talib, Secretary-General of the Football Union in Hadramout Valley, Qarzi Al-Zubaidi, and representatives from various clubs in the region. Al-Amri emphasized the local government’s commitment to mobilizing resources to achieve more championships and significant sporting accomplishments. He particularly noted the clubs that have reached the final qualifiers for the second division: Shibam, Ittihad Sayoun, and Sayoun.

Community Passion for Sports

Al-Amri attributed the strong sports enthusiasm among the people of Hadramout to a deep-rooted cultural appreciation for sports, which has developed over many years. He described sports as a blend of art and ethics. Furthermore, he announced upcoming construction and renovation projects aimed at improving several sports facilities in the capital of sports, Sayoun. These enhancements aim to meet the growing demands of various sports activities in Hadramout Valley.
