Drug Enforcement Agency in Hadramout Captures Major Drug Trafficker

The Drug Enforcement Agency in Hadramout has successfully apprehended one of the most dangerous drug traffickers in Mukalla. This operation resulted from meticulous investigations and continuous surveillance of the suspect’s movements. The achievement highlights the agency’s commitment to combating drug abuse and protecting the community from this serious threat.

Details of the Operation

Raoof Bazoumah, the Acting Director of the Drug Enforcement Agency, reported that security forces intercepted the suspect while he was traveling in a vehicle. Authorities discovered approximately two kilograms of methamphetamine, known locally as “shabu,” during the stop. Following the legal procedures, officers executed a raid on the suspect’s residence.

Seizures and Weapons

The search yielded significant findings, including:

• 6 kilograms and 334 grams of hashish
• 2 kilograms of shabu

In total, authorities seized 10 kilograms and 334 grams of narcotics. Additionally, they confiscated two Kalashnikov rifles and three handguns, underscoring the severity of the suspect’s criminal activities.

Raoof Bazoumah emphasized that the suspect is a high-risk individual wanted by law enforcement. His capture resulted from intensive monitoring and follow-up efforts.
