The Drug Enforcement Agency in Hadramout has successfully apprehended one of the most dangerous drug traffickers in Mukalla. This operation resulted from meticulous investigations and continuous surveillance of the suspect’s movements. The achievement highlights the agency’s commitment to combating drug abuse and protecting the community from this serious threat.
Raoof Bazoumah, the Acting Director of the Drug Enforcement Agency, reported that security forces intercepted the suspect while he was traveling in a vehicle. Authorities discovered approximately two kilograms of methamphetamine, known locally as “shabu,” during the stop. Following the legal procedures, officers executed a raid on the suspect’s residence.

In total, authorities seized 10 kilograms and 334 grams of narcotics. Additionally, they confiscated two Kalashnikov rifles and three handguns, underscoring the severity of the suspect’s criminal activities.
Raoof Bazoumah emphasized that the suspect is a high-risk individual wanted by law enforcement. His capture resulted from intensive monitoring and follow-up efforts. He praised the dedication of the agency’s personnel involved in the operation and highlighted the importance of collaboration between security forces and the community.
Bazoumah reiterated that the Drug Enforcement Agency will continue its rigorous efforts to safeguard the community from drug-related issues.
