Today, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, who also serves as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, issued Decision No. (41) for the year 2026. This decision promotes Minister of Defense, Major General Taher Ali Aida Al-Oqeili, to the rank of Lieutenant General.
The second article of the decision states that it will take effect immediately upon issuance. Furthermore, it mandates publication in the official gazette and military bulletins to ensure widespread awareness.
