A ministerial committee has approved measures to ensure the smooth flow of goods and energy fuel between provinces.

Government Committee Addresses Fuel and Goods Transportation

The ministerial committee, established by the Cabinet under Decision No. (2) of 2025, convened to discuss reports on coordinated efforts with various stakeholders. The primary focus was to ensure the smooth movement of goods between provinces, particularly the delivery of energy fuel to the temporary capital, Aden. This initiative aims to enhance essential services for citizens.

Key Decisions Made in First Meeting

During its inaugural meeting this morning, the committee, led by Major General Mohsen Al-Daari, Minister of Defense and Chair of the Supreme Security Committee, approved several measures. The meeting included participation from Minister of Transport Abdul Salam Hamid, Minister of Oil Saeed Al-Shamasi, and Minister of Electricity Mani Ben Yamin, with Deputy Minister of Interior Mohammed Musaad representing the Interior Minister.

The committee outlined steps to facilitate the movement of transport vehicles on major roads between provinces and through international borders. Additionally, they emphasized the need to deter any actions that could harm state interests or exacerbate the humanitarian crisis caused by the Iranian-backed Houthi militias.

Military and Security Forces Mobilized

Minister Al-Daari directed all relevant military and security units to develop plans that ensure the state’s commitment to maintaining public order and safeguarding highways. He stressed the importance of deterring anyone who might threaten citizens’ interests, ensuring that offenders face legal consequences.

This proactive approach aims to restore stability and improve the quality of life for residents affected by ongoing conflicts.
