A Houthi leader stormed the Cleanliness Fund office in Ibb, threatening to shut it down.

Houthi Leader Storms Sanitation Fund Office in Ibb
In a troubling escalation of tensions, Houthi leader Ali bin Ali Al-Noua, known as “Abu Al-Hassan,” forcibly entered the Sanitation and Improvement Fund office in Ibb Governorate. This incident marks a significant violation of governmental institutions by the militia.
Background of the Incident
Local sources report that Al-Noua’s intrusion followed delays from the fund’s management in disbursing monthly payments he receives without any legal justification. He allegedly threatened to chain the office shut, reminiscent of a similar event that occurred last year.
Previous Encroachments
This is not the first time Al-Noua has targeted government offices. He previously stormed other institutions, including the Tax Office, amid ongoing disputes among Houthi leaders over the distribution of taxes imposed on citizens.
Financial Mismanagement and Employee Rights
Insider sources confirm that certain Houthi leaders receive monthly payments from the fund, while the fund’s employees continue to face financial deprivation. The militia has withheld state salaries since October 2016, exacerbating the financial struggles of public sector workers.
This incident highlights the ongoing internal conflicts within the Houthi leadership and raises concerns about the welfare of citizens and government employees in the region.
