Houthi forces intensify arrests in Taiz and raid mosques in Mawiya, escalating tensions in the region.

Houthi Militias Intensify Arrest Campaigns in Taiz Province

In recent days, Houthi militias have launched a widespread campaign of arrests and raids in the Maawiya district of Taiz province, located in southwestern Yemen. This operation targeted teachers, doctors, students, and mosque leaders, prompting human rights organizations to label it a “systematic violation of civil and religious rights.”
