President Alimi Meets with Consultation and Reconciliation Committee Leadership

On Monday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, convened a meeting with the leadership of the Consultation and Reconciliation Committee. Attendees included committee head Mohammed Al-Ghaithi and his deputies: Abdulmalik Al-Makhlafi, Sakhr Al-Wajeeh, Jamila Ali Rajea, and Akram Al-Amari.

Discussion on National Developments

The meeting focused on the latest national developments and the committee’s plans and work programs for the upcoming phase. This discussion aimed to strengthen the committee’s role in supporting the Presidential Leadership Council and enhancing national consensus to address current challenges.

Emphasis on Unity and Responsibilities

During the meeting, President Alimi stressed the importance of the Consultation and Reconciliation Committee fulfilling its responsibilities as outlined in the power transfer declaration and its internal regulations. He highlighted the need to promote unity among various national components to support state institutions and complete transitional tasks.

Addressing Security and Political Challenges

President Alimi briefed the committee leadership on the current political, security, and military developments. He specifically pointed out the escalation of Houthi militia activities, which are backed by the Iranian regime. He condemned Iran’s repeated violations of international resolutions regarding Yemen, including a recent flight transporting military experts and technology to Houthi-controlled areas. This act represents a blatant violation of Yemeni sovereignty and a direct challenge to international will, undermining efforts for peace in Yemen and the region.

Government Reform and Economic Recovery Efforts

The President also reviewed the government’s efforts in implementing comprehensive reform programs and economic recovery plans aimed at improving the state’s public revenues. He praised the achievements made with the steadfast support of Saudi Arabia.

Security Achievements and Stability

Furthermore, President Alimi commended the significant successes of security and intelligence agencies in dismantling terrorist cells and networks. Their efforts have thwarted several criminal plots, reflecting the growing capabilities of state institutions in maintaining security and public order.

Call for Coordination and National Unity

The President emphasized that the current phase requires the highest levels of coordination and integration among various state institutions and supporting bodies. He called for a unified national decision and urged all energies to rally behind the battle to restore state institutions and protect the gains made in economic recovery and growing trust with regional and international communities.
