He acknowledged the generous donation of petroleum derivatives intended to power electricity stations and alleviate the suffering faced by the Yemeni people, which has been exacerbated by actions from the Houthi militia.
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), President Alimi stated, “This generous support once again reflects the honorable stance of the Kingdom, led by King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, alongside Yemen and its people. Their commitment to supporting Yemen’s aspirations for security, stability, peace, and development remains strong.”

This partnership has resulted in new support that coincides with the joyous occasion of Eid al-Adha, enhancing the state’s capacity to fulfill its service obligations to citizens.
Financial Commitment and Humanitarian Relief
On Wednesday, Saudi Arabia announced an urgent support package for the Yemeni government, which includes $150 million in petroleum derivatives. This funding, facilitated through the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, is designated to cover the diesel and mazout needs for electricity stations until the end of 2026.
This initiative underscores Saudi Arabia’s longstanding commitment to assist the Yemeni people and mitigate their humanitarian challenges. The support aims to stabilize electricity services, bolster related commercial and service activities, and strengthen the foundations of development and stability within the country.
