The Chairman of the Leadership Council has appointed advisors to the President and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

Leadership Changes in Yemen’s Military Command

Today, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, who also serves as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, issued two significant decrees aimed at strengthening military leadership in Yemen.

Appointment of New Military Advisors

The first decree, numbered (172) for the year 2026, appoints Major General Ahmed Saeed Mohammed Bin Brik as an advisor to the President. In addition to this role, he has received a promotion to the rank of Lieutenant General. This appointment reflects the leadership’s commitment to enhancing military strategy and governance.

Air Force Leadership Enhancement

In a related move, the second decree, numbered (173) for the year 2026, designates Major General Pilot Rashid Nasser Ali Al-Jund as an advisor to the President for Air Force and Air Defense Affairs. Like his counterpart, he has also been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General. This decision aims to bolster the capabilities of Yemen’s air defense systems.

Implementation of the Decrees

Both decrees will take effect immediately upon their publication in the official gazette and military bulletins. This swift implementation underscores the urgency of strengthening military leadership during a critical period for the nation.

These appointments mark a strategic shift in Yemen’s military command, aiming to enhance operational effectiveness and national security.
