A comprehensive training program aimed at enhancing the skills of 49 employees from the Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs concluded today at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo, Egypt. This initiative was organized by Yemen’s permanent delegation to the Arab League in collaboration with the League’s Department of Training and Development.
The three-day training, conducted both in-person and via virtual platforms, focused on equipping participants with essential knowledge of protocol, etiquette, and diplomatic conduct. Attendees learned how to effectively organize meetings and manage various types of visits, including official, state, private, work-related, and transit visits.
The sessions were led by Hatem Taj El-Din, former Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Protocol Affairs in Egypt. He provided insights into the hierarchy of diplomats, the arrangement of countries at conferences, and the protocols for flag usage, including raising, lowering, and mourning flags. The course also explored recent developments in protocol and highlighted the variations in diplomatic practices across different countries. Emphasis was placed on adhering to diplomatic norms and customs in the host country.
At the conclusion of the program, participants were awarded certificates of participation, recognizing their commitment to enhancing their professional capabilities in the field of diplomacy.
