Kuwait Red Crescent Society Dispatches Aid to Yemen Flood Victims

Aid Delivery Across Saudi Borders

The Kuwait Red Crescent Society announced on Friday that a convoy of 14 trucks loaded with food and essential supplies had crossed into Yemen via Saudi Arabia. This initiative is part of the organization’s ongoing efforts to provide relief to those affected by the recent floods and torrential rains in Yemen.

Field Team Supervision and Development Projects

Abdulrahman Al-Oun, the General Director of the Society, shared with the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that a field team would soon head to Yemen. Their mission includes overseeing the distribution of aid and inspecting various developmental projects the society is implementing. These projects range from schools and health centers to orphanages and water projects, all conducted in collaboration with the Humanitarian and Relief Foundation.

Impact and Humanitarian Initiatives

Al-Oun further emphasized that these aid shipments would significantly alleviate the burden on needy families, aiming to provide them with a decent life. He highlighted that this assistance is part of a series of humanitarian initiatives aimed at offering food and living support to those impacted by the adverse weather conditions, ultimately easing their suffering.

This aid delivery underscores the Kuwait Red Crescent Society’s commitment to humanitarian support and development assistance in crisis-affected areas.
