Yemen’s Ministry of Awqaf Begins Pilgrimage Transport to Mina

On Wednesday morning, the Ministry of Awqaf and Guidance commenced the transportation of Yemeni pilgrims to Mina for the Day of Tarwiyah. This significant event marks a crucial step in the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

Minister Inspects Transportation Process

Dr. Mohammed Shabeeb, the Minister of Awqaf and Guidance, inspected the ongoing transport of 24,255 pilgrims. He assessed the efficiency of the operation and the measures in place to ensure the safety of all participants. The minister emphasized the ministry’s commitment to direct oversight and field supervision during this critical phase.

Smooth Operations and Safety Measures

Minister Shabeeb reiterated that the transportation process follows a well-structured and streamlined plan. He expressed gratitude for the importance of this day as pilgrims head towards the sacred site. He prayed for the success of Yemeni and Muslim pilgrims in fulfilling their religious duties.

The minister acknowledged the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in facilitating the pilgrimage. The Deputy Minister of Awqaf confirmed that the transport of pilgrims to Mina is proceeding smoothly, in line with the established plan. He commended the efforts of various committees from the Yemeni delegation and their Saudi counterparts, which contribute to the successful execution of the pilgrimage.

Dr. Mukhtar Al-Rabash, the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Hajj and Umrah, explained that the transportation involves 512 buses, organized according to a pre-arranged plan in coordination with Saudi officials. He noted that all teams are working diligently, with committees stationed in accommodations and holy sites to assist pilgrims.
