The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has expressed its approval of U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement regarding the implementation of the second phase of the comprehensive peace plan for Gaza.
In an official statement, the Ministry praised the efforts of regional partners, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey. These nations played a crucial role in reaching this agreement, which marks a significant step toward alleviating the humanitarian suffering of the Palestinian people.
The Yemeni government reaffirmed its full support for the agreement, emphasizing the need for a permanent ceasefire and the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza. Additionally, the Ministry highlighted the importance of ensuring unhindered humanitarian aid flow and supporting reconstruction efforts. It also stressed the necessity of empowering the Palestinian Authority to fulfill its national responsibilities.
The Ministry reiterated Yemen’s steadfast position in support of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. This includes the establishment of an independent state with full sovereignty along the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital. Yemen views this as the pathway to achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the region.
