Acknowledgment of Mediation Efforts
In a statement shared with the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the ministry praised the collaborative mediation efforts undertaken by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States. These countries served as guarantors of the agreement, which aims to end the ongoing conflict in Gaza and alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.
Recognition of Resilience in Gaza
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs commended the resilience and sacrifices of the people in Gaza. They have faced a relentless campaign of destruction, violence, and displacement imposed by the Israeli military for over a year. The ministry highlighted the strength of the Gazan community in enduring these hardships.
Call for Lasting Peace
The ministry emphasized that the time has come to achieve a just, comprehensive, and sustainable peace through a two-state solution. This approach aims to fulfill the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people for a dignified life and the establishment of an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
