The Emperor also reflected on the first World Expo held in Asia in 1970, which took place in the same city. He hopes that Expo 2025 will deepen the understanding of emerging generations about different countries and cultures worldwide, while also enhancing efforts to achieve sustainable development goals.
The opening ceremony attracted representatives from over 160 countries and international organizations. The event featured a variety of performances, including theatrical, musical, and dance presentations. Attendees enjoyed a showcase of Japan’s rich heritage and the advanced civilization represented in previous expos.
Yemen’s participation in this global event presents a significant opportunity to strengthen economic and cultural ties with Japan. It also aims to highlight Yemen’s rich cultural heritage and build new bridges for international cooperation. This collaboration seeks to attract investments and enhance cultural exchange. The Yemeni Ambassador to Japan, Adel Al-Sanini, also attended the ceremony, underscoring the importance of this event for Yemen’s international relations.
In summary, Yemen’s involvement in Expo 2025 not only showcases its cultural richness but also opens avenues for future collaboration and investment opportunities with Japan and the global community.
