The Republic of Yemen actively participated today in the 72nd session of the Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization. This significant event, which includes an extraordinary General Assembly, takes place over three days in Rabat, Morocco. The Yemeni delegation is led by Captain Saleh bin Naheed, the head of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology.
The primary aim of these meetings is to discuss various topics related to enhancing Arab coordination in civil aviation. Participants will focus on developing infrastructure and legislation to align with global requirements in this vital sector.
During the meeting, Captain bin Naheed highlighted the challenges currently facing the civil aviation sector in Arab countries. He emphasized the importance of council members and assembly participants taking responsibility for these developments. This is particularly crucial given the ongoing events that directly impact air transport in the region.
Captain bin Naheed urged member states to strengthen cooperation and integration. He called for intensified efforts to ensure the continuity of aviation services while achieving the highest standards of safety and security amid regional and international changes.
As Yemen engages in these critical discussions, the focus remains on fostering collaboration among Arab nations to navigate the complexities of the civil aviation landscape effectively. The outcomes of this meeting could significantly influence the future of air travel in the region.
