The Republic of Yemen, represented by the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority, is participating in the 11th International Geological Conference and the 10th Middle East Geology Conference. These significant events are taking place in Amman, Jordan, from October 22 to 24, 2023.
Organized by the Jordanian Geological Society, the conference brings together over 220 researchers from 25 countries. Notable scientists and officials from various Arab and foreign nations will also attend. The main objectives include discussing issues related to natural resource management, water and energy, as well as addressing climate change and natural disasters.
During the conference, participants will explore ways to enhance investment in the geological sector. They will review available opportunities and focus on disaster management, oil and gas issues in Jordan and the Arab world, and water resource management. The discussions will also address the challenges posed by climate change.
The conference will showcase the latest research and practices in geology. A significant emphasis will be placed on developing geological education and highlighting its crucial role in supporting vital sectors.
