Ministers from Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, Qatar, Indonesia, Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey have strongly condemned the escalating violence perpetrated by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. Recent attacks have targeted significant religious sites, including the Grand Mosque in Jaljulia and the Al-Farooq Mosque in the Nubani Farms area north of Ramallah.
The ministers emphasized that these acts constitute blatant violations of the sanctity of places of worship and religious sites. They also represent breaches of international law, humanitarian law, and relevant United Nations resolutions. The ministers held Israel, as the occupying power, fully accountable for these crimes and stressed the urgent need to end such violations.
The ministers reiterated their absolute rejection of Israel’s unilateral and illegal actions in the occupied Palestinian territories. They asserted that these actions fuel violence and extremism, undermining peace efforts in the region. Furthermore, they called on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities in this context.
The ministers urged the international community to compel Israel to halt its dangerous escalation, end its unlawful practices, and stop settler violence. They demanded accountability for those committing these crimes, ensuring that perpetrators do not escape justice. The ministers expressed their unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people and their steadfast support for their legitimate national rights, including the right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent sovereign state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
They also reaffirmed their support for all efforts aimed at ending the occupation and achieving a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace based on a two-state solution, in accordance with international law and the Arab Peace Initiative.
