The Meteorological Forecast and Early Warning Center at the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology predicts mild weather for coastal areas and nearby regions today. The forecast includes clear to partly cloudy skies, with a chance of thunderstorms in parts of the Socotra Archipelago and eastern coasts. Winds are expected to strengthen along some southern coastlines.

Mountainous Regions: Dry and Mild

According to the daily weather bulletin, mountainous areas will experience dry and clear weather with moderate temperatures during the day. However, temperatures will drop to relatively cold at night and in the early morning. In desert and plateau regions, the weather will remain dry and clear to partly cloudy, with hot conditions during the day and moderate temperatures at night.

Safety Precautions for Thunderstorms

The center advises residents in areas expecting thunderstorms to avoid riverbeds and valleys. It also recommends staying away from open areas during thunderstorms. Residents in mountainous regions should take necessary precautions to cope with the cold weather at night and in the early morning.

Marine Conditions: Light to Moderate Waves

In the marine bulletin, the center forecasts light waves along the coasts of Al-Mahra, Hadramaut, Abyan, Aden, Bab al-Mandab, and western coasts. Waves will be light to moderate in the coasts of Shabwa and the Socotra Archipelago. The sea conditions in the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Aden will remain calm, while the Red Sea will experience light to moderate waves.

Warnings for Sea Goers

The center warns sea-goers and fishermen along the eastern and southern coasts, as well as in the Red Sea, about potential disturbances in the sea, increased wave heights, and strong winds.
