New Medical Skills and Physiology Labs Open at Taiz University

Taiz Governor and University President Inaugurate Facilities

Today, Taiz Governor Nabil Shamsan, alongside Dr. Mohammed Al-Shaibi, President of Taiz University, officially opened new medical skills and physiology laboratories for medical students. The inauguration also included the launch of a graduate studies lab within the College of Medicine and Health Sciences. Notably, the university funded these projects independently.

Governor Praises University Efforts

Governor Shamsan commended Taiz University for its commitment to enhancing infrastructure and improving the educational environment. He emphasized that these vital projects directly contribute to elevating the quality of medical education and meeting the academic needs of graduate students. This initiative reflects the university’s leadership role, especially during the challenging circumstances faced by the province.

University President Highlights Development Plans

Dr. Mohammed Al-Shaibi explained that the establishment of these modern laboratories aligns with the university’s strategic plan to enhance the educational process. He noted that the facilities will strengthen practical training for students, adhering to global academic standards. Despite significant financial challenges, the university successfully financed the project through its own resources.

The inauguration event attracted several university officials, including the university’s vice presidents, faculty members from the College of Medicine, and various executive office directors. Their presence underscored the collective support for advancing medical education in the region.
