Houthi Militias Launch Artillery Attack on Yemeni Village, Injuring Two Children

In a distressing development from Yemen, Houthi militias, backed by the Iranian regime, launched an artillery assault on the village of Hadiyah in the rural district of Maqbana, west of Taiz province, on Thursday evening. This attack resulted in the injury of two young children, a boy and a girl, amplifying concerns over the escalating violence in the region.

Children Wounded in the Assault

Local sources have confirmed that the Iran-aligned militias targeted Hadiyah village with mortar shells, injuring 10-year-old Mohammed Hussein Mohammed Bajash and 7-year-old Abrar Mohammed Mohammed Bajash. The attack has not only caused physical harm to these innocent lives but has also instilled fear and panic among the villagers, particularly affecting women and children.

Emergency Response and Rising Tensions

Following the attack, an ambulance from the joint forces rushed to the scene to provide first aid to the injured children and transport them to a field hospital in Al-Khokha for further treatment. This incident adds to a growing list of atrocities committed by the Houthi militias, which are supported by the Iranian regime, against civilians across various Yemeni provinces.

The continuous targeting of civilian areas by the Houthi forces has been a source of major concern for human rights organizations and the international community, calling for immediate actions to protect the innocent and put an end to these heinous crimes.

A Call for Peace and Stability

This latest act of violence underscores the urgent need for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict in Yemen, which has devastated millions of lives and led to a humanitarian crisis. The international community, along with local stakeholders, must intensify their efforts to bring about peace and ensure the safety and security of all Yemenis, especially the most vulnerable.

As the situation in Yemen continues to unfold, it is crucial that the world does not turn a blind eye to the suffering of its people and works collectively to restore stability and peace in the region.
