On Sunday, a drone strike carried out by Houthi militias targeted civilian areas in the town of Al-Maqbana, located in the western region of Taiz, Yemen. This attack resulted in the deaths and injuries of at least 12 civilians, highlighting the ongoing violence in the area.
Eshraq Al-Maqtari, a member of the National Commission of Inquiry and a human rights advocate, reported receiving testimonies from residents of Al-Boumiya village, which belongs to the Al-Barasha district in Al-Maqbana. According to these accounts, the drone strike occurred in the afternoon, causing significant devastation.
The attack claimed the lives of four civilians, including Hyman Abdulrahim Mohammed Qaid and Hassan Said Ali Hassan. Additionally, eight others sustained injuries, with notable victims such as Abdu Hamid Ali Salem, Mansour Said Qaid Ali, and Iyad Abdul Malik Said Qaid.
