Former U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the United States might soon launch strikes on Iran’s nuclear site, known as “Mount Al-Fas.” He emphasized that Washington closely monitors Iranian activities and is fully aware of Tehran’s actions.
Trump stated that the United States now controls the Strait of Hormuz after removing all mines from the area. He claimed that ships can safely navigate this critical waterway.
The former president noted that Iran had deployed advanced radar systems, but U.S. forces completely destroyed them. He warned Tehran of stronger retaliatory strikes if the situation deteriorates, asserting that a war with Iran would be “simple for America.”
Trump expressed skepticism about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s intentions, stating, “Putin will not attack NATO territories… I know him well.” He cautioned that a U.S. withdrawal could allow Iran to rebuild its capabilities, a process that might take approximately 25 years.
Trump revealed that U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner will travel to Russia and Ukraine to propose an initiative aimed at ending the ongoing four-year war. He indicated that there is a “good chance” for reaching an agreement.
These developments occur amid escalating tensions between Moscow and Kyiv, with both sides intensifying strikes on economic targets. The conflict remains the deadliest in Europe since World War II, resulting in thousands of civilian casualties and hundreds of thousands of military deaths.
