On Friday, the city of Taiz witnessed a large-scale demonstration, with thousands of citizens participating to express their solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza. The event aimed to condemn the ongoing Israeli aggression and the lack of effective international intervention.
The demonstration followed calls from various political and community groups. Participants waved Yemeni and Palestinian flags while chanting slogans that reflected public outrage over the continued blockade and systematic starvation of civilians in Gaza.
Protesters demanded an end to the suffocating blockade on Gaza. They called for a decisive Arab and Islamic stance to halt the aggression and protect civilians. Among the impactful slogans were: “Al-Aqsa is the most precious project; we thirst and starve for it,” and “Gaza suffers from hunger, while Arab support is cut off.”
This demonstration coincided with a worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where over two million Palestinians endure a comprehensive blockade and escalating attacks. International calls for urgent action to save the population from famine and death continue to grow.
The event in Taiz highlights the urgent need for global awareness and action regarding the situation in Gaza, as citizens rally for justice and humanitarian support.
