Youth National Football Team Qualifies for 2025 AFC U-20 Asian Cup in China

The Youth National Football Team has officially qualified for the 2025 AFC U-20 Asian Cup in China. This milestone follows a thrilling match against Indonesia, which ended in a 1-1 draw at Madiya Stadium. The game took place as part of the sixth group stage of the tournament.

Qualification Details

The national team secured its spot as one of the best second-placed teams in the competition. Both teams finished the group stage with seven points, but Indonesia advanced due to a superior goal difference of just one goal.

The match showcased intense competition between the two teams, both vying for a crucial qualification spot. Indonesia, benefiting from home advantage, scored its first goal in the 46th minute of stoppage time during the first half. However, the Youth National Team quickly responded, with player Abdulrahman Al-Khidr equalizing just minutes later. The first half concluded with both teams tied at one goal each.
