The Yemeni Sports Media Association recently participated in the 88th Congress of the International Sports Press Association, held from April 9 to 15, 2026, in Lausanne, Switzerland. This significant event attracted representatives from various sports media associations worldwide, highlighting its role in fostering professional collaboration among sports media specialists.

During the congress, Italian Gianni Merlo was re-elected as president for another four-year term. Additionally, Mauritania will host the next congress in 2027. Samih Al-Ma’limi, the association’s representative, emphasized that the Yemeni Sports Media Association’s participation signifies its active presence in international forums.
