Yemen Celebrates National Revolution Anniversaries in Kuala Lumpur

Embassy Commemorates Historical Milestones

The Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in Kuala Lumpur recently celebrated the 62nd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution and the 61st anniversary of the October 14 Revolution. This event brought together the diplomatic staff, prominent social and academic figures, business leaders, and members of the Yemeni community, including residents and students from various Malaysian states.

Ambassador’s Message of Unity and Responsibility

During the celebration, Ambassador Dr. Adel Ba-Hamid expressed heartfelt congratulations to the political leadership, particularly President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, the members of the Presidential Leadership Council, and the government. He emphasized the significance of these anniversaries as not just occasions for celebration but also as pivotal moments to realign national priorities towards the homeland.

Ambassador Ba-Hamid highlighted that the two revolutions represent the culmination of the Yemeni people’s struggles over decades and even centuries. He stated that these historical events paved the way for liberation and a new dawn for Yemen.

Call for Continued Revolutionary Action

The ambassador urged all Yemenis to embrace their national and historical responsibilities. He called for continued revolutionary action to fulfill the lofty goals of the revolutions and to realize the dreams and aspirations of the Yemeni people. Ba-Hamid stressed the need for unity behind the Presidential Leadership Council, urging everyone to contribute their efforts and fulfill their duties in their respective roles. He emphasized that the primary concern should be the nation, its security, unity, and safety.

Importance of National Education Initiatives

In his address, Ambassador Ba-Hamid also underscored the importance of launching a national project focused on education. He believes this initiative should reinforce national identity and guide the minds of future generations. He cautioned that the Yemeni youth face threats from extremist ideologies and divisive projects that could distort their identity and belonging. He warned of a potential catastrophe if these issues are not addressed, as they could jeopardize the future of Yemen.

The embassy’s celebration not only marked significant historical events but also served as a reminder of the ongoing responsibilities that lie ahead for Yemen and its people.
