On Thursday, Adel Al-Sanini, Yemen’s Ambassador to Japan, welcomed several senior officials from the Japanese government. They came to express their condolences following the passing of Ali Salem Al-Baidh, the former Vice President of the Presidential Council.
Among those who offered their sympathies were Keiichi Iwamoto, Japan’s Assistant Foreign Minister, and Tadayuki Miyashita, the head of the Protocol and Ceremonial Affairs Division at the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They conveyed the condolences of the Japanese government and people to President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, the Presidential Leadership Council, and the Yemeni people. The officials expressed their wishes for unity, peace, security, and stability in Yemen. They also emphasized the strength of the bilateral relations and Tokyo’s commitment to enhancing friendship between the two nations.
In response, Ambassador Al-Sanini expressed Yemen’s deep appreciation for the heartfelt sentiments from the Japanese government and people. He highlighted that these gestures reflect the profound nature of the bilateral relationship and the advanced level of partnership between Yemen and Japan.
This meeting underscores the ongoing diplomatic ties and mutual respect between Yemen and Japan, reinforcing their commitment to fostering stronger relations in the future.
