The Saudi Civil Aviation Authority announced the tragic death of 12 individuals and injuries to 309 others in a brutal attack targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Saturday afternoon.
Details of the Incident
In a statement published by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the authority provided further details regarding the attack. Among the deceased, four were Saudi citizens. The fatalities also included residents of various nationalities: two from Bangladesh, one from the United States, one from Egypt, one from Jordan, one from Syria, one from Palestine, and one from Sudan.
Injuries and Damage Assessment
The attack resulted in injuries to 309 individuals, who are currently receiving necessary medical care in several hospitals. Some of these injuries are critical. Additionally, the assault caused material damage, which authorities are in the process of assessing.
