The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has officially launched its Zakat al-Fitr distribution project for the year 1446 AH in Marib Governorate. This initiative aims to support 15,336 families from the most vulnerable and impoverished groups in the regions of Marib, Hadramaut, Al-Mahra, and Al-Hudaydah.
During the launch, Abdul Hakim Al-Qaisi, the Director of the Social Affairs and Labor Office in Marib, along with Dr. Lutfi Al-Ghabari, a representative from the King Salman Center, received a detailed briefing from Yahya Al-Dabaa, the head of the Humanitarian Access Association for Partnership and Development. This organization is the project’s implementing partner. The project specifically targets 7,550 families, including displaced individuals and their host communities.
Al-Qaisi praised the humanitarian contributions of the King Salman Center, emphasizing the significant impact of these aid efforts on the lives of beneficiary families. He highlighted the importance of such assistance in alleviating the hardships faced by these families. Furthermore, he called for an expansion of food aid interventions in the governorate, which has already accommodated over 2.5 million displaced persons from various regions.
The Zakat al-Fitr distribution project represents a crucial step in providing essential support to vulnerable families in Yemen. As the humanitarian crisis continues, initiatives like this play a vital role in addressing the urgent needs of displaced individuals and their communities. The King Salman Humanitarian Aid Center remains committed to enhancing its efforts in delivering aid and improving the living conditions of those affected by the ongoing conflict.
