The Prime Minister visits an oil company, emphasizing its role in meeting local market needs across all provinces.

Prime Minister's Visit to Yemen Oil Company for Fuel Supply Stability

This discussion came in light of the recent U.S. decision to prohibit the Houthi militia from importing petroleum and gas products, following its designation as a foreign terrorist organization. The Prime Minister urged officials to double their efforts to stabilize fuel supplies across all provinces, whether through local production or imports.

Coordination and Governance Improvements

Enhancing Storage Capacity and Distribution

The meeting focused on strategies to increase the storage capacity of the company’s facilities and branches. This enhancement aligns with the rising local consumption and aims to establish a sufficient strategic reserve. The officials also discussed transportation and distribution mechanisms, emphasizing the need to provide direct services to citizens through the expansion of model stations.

Prioritizing Fuel Supply Stability

Prime Minister bin Mubarak stressed that ensuring stable fuel supplies across various provinces represents a national priority. He underscored the necessity of enhancing governance and transparency in the sector to guarantee efficient supply and fair fuel prices that align with citizens’ living conditions.

Strengthening the Role of Oil Companies

The Prime Minister acknowledged the pivotal role of the Yemen Oil Company and Aden Refineries in securing the country’s petroleum needs. He pointed out the importance of improving the company’s marketing performance and creating an attractive investment environment to bolster its leadership role as a government entity supporting the national economy.

Developing a Comprehensive Strategy

The Prime Minister called for the development of a comprehensive strategy to ensure sustainable oil supplies while improving distribution efficiency. He emphasized the need to address any imbalances that could affect supply stability.
