On Friday, Prime Minister Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak participated in the weekly congregational prayer at the University Mosque in Marib, accompanied by several ministers and officials. This event brought together a large number of citizens, reinforcing community ties and shared values.

Commemorating the 62nd Anniversary of the September 26 Revolution

During the Friday sermon, Sheikh Mohammed Mabkhout Al-Arshani emphasized the significance of the 26th of September Revolution, which marks its 62nd anniversary this year. He reminded the audience of the values, principles, and objectives that the revolution represents. Sheikh Al-Arshani noted that the Yemeni people continue to strive to preserve the achievements of this revolution while resisting attempts to revert to periods of backwardness and oppression. He described the September Revolution as a pivotal moment that launched Yemen towards freedom, justice, and equality.

The Resilience Against Houthi Forces

Sheikh Al-Arshani also addressed the ongoing challenges posed by the Houthi coup, reiterating that it has reignited the spirit of the September Revolution. He stated that the revolution raised the dignity of Yemenis, who only bow to their Creator. The sermon highlighted the sacrifices made by early revolutionaries, whose blood paved the way for freedom, dignity, and equality.

Empowering the Youth

The Sheikh urged the youth to promote awareness about the importance of the September Revolution and its principles. He encouraged them to draw inspiration from the struggles of the revolutionaries of September, October, and November. He called for a united effort to defeat the Houthi agenda and restore the state, aiming for a brighter future for Yemen and its people.

Celebrating National Holidays

Following the Friday prayer, Prime Minister bin Mubarak exchanged congratulations with worshippers in celebration of Yemen’s national holidays: September 26, October 14, and November 30. These dates symbolize a firm foundation for confronting the Houthi’s regressive agenda, which seeks to turn back the clock on Yemen’s progress. The attendees reaffirmed their commitment to uphold the values and goals of the September Revolution and to continue the struggle until the state is fully restored and the Houthi coup is ended. They emphasized that Marib will remain a bastion of the republic, as it has throughout history.

Listening to Citizens’ Concerns

After the prayer, the Prime Minister engaged with citizens in Marib, listening to their concerns and issues. He assured them that he would work diligently, in collaboration with local authorities, to find urgent solutions to their challenges.

This active engagement by the Prime Minister not only highlights the government’s commitment to addressing public concerns but also reinforces the importance of community and national identity in Yemen’s ongoing journey towards stability and prosperity.
