Meteorological Authority: Unstable weather and turbulent waves expected along coasts and in inland areas.

Weather Forecast: Coastal and Inland Areas to Experience Variable Conditions

The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting and Early Warning Center has issued a weather advisory for Monday. Coastal regions and nearby areas can expect mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. Daytime temperatures will be hot and humid, while nighttime conditions will be mild. There is a possibility of scattered rain showers along parts of the southern and eastern coasts. Wind activity will increase, particularly along the southern western coasts and the eastern and southern shores. Winds in the Socotra Archipelago may reach speeds of up to 40 knots.

Mountainous Regions Anticipate Rain

In the mountainous areas, forecasters predict partly cloudy weather with varying degrees of rain accompanied by thunder. This precipitation may affect regions in the western highlands, extending to Al-Dhale, Al-Bayda, and Abyan, as well as parts of Hadramaut and Shabwa. Meanwhile, desert and plateau areas will experience partly dusty conditions, characterized by dry and extremely hot weather during the day, transitioning to moderate temperatures at night. Winds will stir up dust and sand in these regions.

Marine Conditions: Caution Advised

The marine bulletin indicates variable sea conditions. Waves in the Red Sea are expected to be light, while the Gulf of Aden may see moderate to rough seas. The waters surrounding the Socotra Archipelago could become severely turbulent. Authorities have issued warnings to fishermen and sea-goers about strong winds and high waves along the eastern and southern coasts, as well as in the Arabian Sea.

Safety Warnings for Residents

The center has urged residents in areas forecasted for rain to avoid riverbeds and flood-prone areas. Additionally, those living in desert and coastal regions should take precautions against direct sun exposure and implement measures to protect themselves from high temperatures.
