On Monday, Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak officially inaugurated the first examination cycle for the year 2025. This assessment targets the evaluation and competency of medical and health professionals and is organized by the Higher Medical Council. The event took place in the temporary capital, Aden.
During the launch, Prime Minister bin Mubarak, accompanied by Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qassem Bahibeh, reviewed the examination process. The assessments are currently underway at the faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy at the University of Aden. These examinations are crucial for determining the competency of candidates seeking professional licenses.
Dr. Omar Zain Al-Saqaf, President of the Higher Medical Council, provided an overview of the examination cycle. This cycle includes 14 examination centers both within Yemen and abroad, accommodating 2,411 candidates. Dr. Al-Saqaf emphasized the rigorous selection process for applicants, ensuring that only qualified individuals receive professional licenses. He highlighted the importance of these examinations in preventing errors and shortcomings in the outputs of medical and health institutions.
Prime Minister bin Mubarak engaged in conversations with candidates about the nature of the tests. He expressed his best wishes for their success and encouraged them to embrace the significant responsibilities that come with their noble profession. He reminded them of their vital role in serving their communities and the nation.
The launch of the examinations also saw the presence of Deputy Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Abdullah Dahan, along with several ministry officials and deans of the colleges. Their participation underscores the importance of this initiative in enhancing the quality of healthcare in Yemen.
This examination cycle represents a significant step towards ensuring that medical professionals in Yemen meet the necessary standards to provide quality care to the public.
