Meeting Overview
Today, Prime Minister Dr. Sha’if Mohsen Al-Zandani welcomed Catherine Colonna, the French Ambassador to Yemen. The two officials discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations between Yemen and France, as well as the current situation in Yemen.
Ambassador’s Congratulations
At the beginning of the meeting, Ambassador Colonna congratulated Prime Minister Al-Zandani on his recent appointment as head of the government. She expressed her best wishes for his success in fulfilling his responsibilities.
Government’s Commitment to Citizens
Prime Minister Al-Zandani emphasized that his government will diligently work to meet the basic needs of citizens. He outlined plans to enhance service delivery, address living conditions, and alleviate the worsening humanitarian crisis. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of international support to bolster the government’s efforts during this critical period.

Ambassador Colonna reaffirmed France’s commitment to supporting the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government. She stressed France’s dedication to promoting peace, security, and stability in Yemen, aiming to alleviate humanitarian suffering and address the urgent needs of the Yemeni people.
