National Institute of Public Health Secures Research Grant

The National Institute of Public Health has announced its successful application for research funding focused on the Eastern Mediterranean region. This initiative falls under the Applied Public Health Research Capacity Enhancement Program (SCAPHeR) for the years 2026 to 2028. The Robert Koch Institute in Germany sponsors this program, which the Jordanian Center for Disease Control will implement across the region.

Minister Praises Scientific Achievement

Dr. Qassem Mohammed Baheeb, Yemen’s Minister of Public Health and Population, commended this significant scientific and research achievement. He described it as a culmination of the institute’s ongoing efforts in scientific research and public health. Furthermore, he highlighted the growing presence of Yemeni health institutions in regional and international forums. Despite its recent establishment, the institute has joined a high-ranking global network of international public health institutes.
