Furthermore, he highlighted the growing presence of Yemeni health institutions in regional and international forums. Despite its recent establishment, the institute has joined a high-ranking global network of international public health institutes.

Enhancing Research Capacity

Minister Baheeb emphasized that this research partnership represents a unique opportunity to elevate the National Institute of Public Health’s status as a leading scientific and research institution. He noted that it would contribute to the development of Yemen’s health research system and empower young researchers with modern research tools. This initiative aims to generate scientific knowledge and guide evidence-based health policies.

Building Trust and Competence

The minister pointed out that this achievement reflects the trust that international partners place in Yemeni health professionals and institutions. It also confirms the capability of Yemeni scientists to compete in regional and international research programs. The minister expressed optimism that this opportunity would enhance applied scientific research and prepare a new generation of qualified researchers. These researchers will address current and future health challenges, ultimately improving health services and indicators in Yemen.

Call for Collaboration

Minister Baheeb urged the institute’s management to maximize the program’s outputs and expand scientific and research collaboration with specialized international institutions. He believes that such partnerships will positively impact the development of the public health sector and strengthen its institutional and research capacities.
