A training course focused on the guidelines for preparing the state budget commenced today in Aden, the temporary capital of Yemen. This initiative is part of the training program implemented by the Ministry of Finance as part of the financial reforms planned for 2024.
The five-day course aims to equip 26 participants, including directors of financial affairs from various ministries and governmental bodies, with fundamental concepts of the state budget. Participants will explore different types of budgets and the various stages involved in the budgeting process.
Omar Al-Abd, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, along with Khaled Al-Houthari, Assistant Undersecretary for Planning and Statistics, emphasized the significance of such training sessions. They believe these courses play a vital role in enhancing the knowledge and skills of financial directors within ministries and state institutions. Moreover, they aim to elevate the standards of financial operations, particularly in the realm of state budget preparation.
This training reflects the government’s commitment to improving financial management practices and ensuring effective budgetary processes across various sectors.
