The Ministry of Awqaf and Guidance has reported that approximately 15,000 pilgrims out of a total of 24,225 have received refunds for services contracted but not delivered during the 1445 Hajj season. The total amount refunded exceeds 15 million Saudi Riyals.
Abdul Jabbar Al-Mazlam, Director General of Organization and Accounts in the Hajj and Umrah Sector, provided details in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) on Sunday. He confirmed that the refund process, which began last Wednesday, is proceeding smoothly in coordination with Al-Qatibi Islamic Bank. The ministry has implemented a structured and transparent mechanism based on official records approved by the ministry.
Al-Mazlam also mentioned that the ministry is currently developing a suitable mechanism to transfer funds to pilgrims who are abroad or to the families of deceased pilgrims. This initiative aims to ensure that all affected individuals receive their rightful refunds.
The director urged all beneficiaries to promptly visit Al-Qatibi Bank branches or authorized agents in their provinces to collect their refunds. He emphasized the importance of reporting any deductions made from the refunded amounts. Al-Mazlam reassured the public of the ministry’s commitment to delivering full rights to the pilgrims.
For any complaints or inquiries, the ministry encourages individuals to contact the designated number: 780788889.
